People might actually watch it now!

The first episode is important to the story but it's also garbage in the way first episodes sometimes are. The second episode isn't great either. But if you like epic period action drama filled with interestingly written characters doing interesting shit, please stick with it.

If Game of Thrones' distinct lack of equal opportunity nudity or portrayals of LGBTQ sexuality (that aren't two naked prostitutes licking each other's faces whilst clothed men talk in the foreground) bothers you occasionally, Spartacus is your show. (Although probably censored a little bit for Netflix.)

But seriously, the Game of Thrones team could learn a thing or two about the portrayal of sex, violence, and sexual violence from Spartacus, IMHO.
