Apparently Yesterday was the annual Port Huron Float Down, where people from Port Huron, Michigan, float down the St Clair River on pretty much anything that will float. Only this year, high winds drove a bunch of them across the border, and they washed up on the Canadian side. Apparently the event was unorganized, so there was no one to look at a weather report and call the whole thing off due to the wind.

Fortunately no one was hurt, and they were returned to Port Huron by bus.
