I am so gratified to see that they actually gave time to speaking about disability rights at the DNC. Tom Harkin did a great job of pointing out that while the ADA was a legislative milestone, the States still have a way to go toward achieving equality of disabled people (as do so many other countries).


Although I favoured Bernie’s platform for the most part, I’ve been really impressed with how inclusive Hillary’s campaign has been and I really appreciate that she has been vocal about disability rights throughout the campaign, when that is something that so often goes completely ignored within political platforms. (Notably, the last time Drumpf gave any notice to disability was when he mocked the New York Times reporter.)
