Happy Sunday, Lit Lovers! You ready to talk books?
Recently, I read a book set in my vicinity (Kitchens of the Great Midwest), went to a book signing, and came across some memorials to authors from our area and all of this got me thinking about all the literary talents who have lived and/or worked in the places I’ve lived. And it got me wondering, who’s most known in the places you’re from? And who’s most beloved? Or! Are there books set in your area that you’re especially proud of/resentful about?
To ensure this isn’t too doxxy, please note that I’ve put “local” into quotes: you could talk about where you live now, of course, or where you’ve lived before, where your family’s from, etc. Any place you have a connection to is fine, I reckon. :)
And, as always, please tell us:
- What book(s) did you most recently finish?
- What are you reading now?
- What’s next on your “to read” list?
- Do you have/need any book recs?
