it’s the end of the world as we know it, and i feel fine.

i really do, actually. i know that there is so much happening, but we have to remember that we can’t all be up in arms about everything all the time! it isn’t sustainable! take it from me, a black woman in 45's america, that sometimes you gotta make an effort to be present in the moment and find joy where you can. so, beyond whatever you’d like to discuss, list a way you’re taking care of yourself mentally, physically, and emotionally as the world turns (and burns).

i, for one, have leaned into my goal-setting for 2020. my dad also got me this cool mini-hot-pot thing for my office so i have been diligent in prepping my breakfast and lunch to cook upon arrival. another thing i have been doing is to be mindful to taking in too much news about the same things. i’m an AVID podcast listener, and so if multiple pods i subscribe to are discussing the same topic, i may only listen to one or two, versus all of them. this has been nice because i’m still just as informed, while also not hearing many versions of ‘shit is fucked up.’
