This is my first post, so “ta daaa!” for that! The other reason is because I read somewhere about a woman who kept a “ta daaa” list instead of a “to do” list, because she felt more discouraged at the things she didn’t do on the list than happy about the things she did accomplish. I have always been a list person, because my memory is getting fuzzier with age and mental health slumps. And I admit that I usually cheat by adding things to my “to do” list and checking it off AFTER I’ve done something that was a distraction from the actual things on my list. So I’ve started keeping a “ta daaa” list, where I list things I’ve done for the day, no matter how small or insignificant. Got out of bed - ta daaa! Took shower - ta daaa! Exercised self care by napping the rest of the day - ta daaa! We are all super stressed out with things in the world right now, and some of us are overwhelmed because we work from home and have to accomplish things, while others of us are not working and are overwhelmed by how we are going to fill our time and manage finances. We don’t need the added pressure of being productive and active all the time. So I’d like to hear from you all what things you can say “ta daa!” about for today, big or small.
