TW: weight stuff.

I started out strong chronicling my 21 Day Fix stuff, but the third week didn’t go well, and so I got lazy about it. Anyway, here are my final thoughts.

My experience was sort of derailed by period. It started end of second/beginning of third week, and totally took me by surprise since I was in the middle of a birth control pack. My periods are really, really regular even when I’m not on birth control so this kind of freaked me out. Usually when I’m on my period I crave all the carbs, and this was no exception. I ended up finding the diet basically impossible to stick to and when I tried it had a really negative impact on my mood. So, I gave up (which is pretty par for the course when it comes to me and diets). But I did stick with the workouts, which are actually pretty fun.

Overall verdict: it’s ok. It’s not super crazy. The workouts are short and do-able. The meal plan isn’t crazy restrictive. It clearly didn’t go the way I wanted, but I don’t think that is an artifact of the program, just a personal issue. The period thing was really funky, and perhaps a sign of the program being too much for me.
