I am kinda whacky and scheduled a class that only operates at the worst possible time for me. I do not drive, so Mr.Dude picks me up and drops me off at school before/after work. Sometimes if all my classes are done by lunch he'll come get me and conversely if my classes all start after lunch, he'll drop me off at school on his way back to work from lunch. It's a great system.
Well I screwed that up this semester. I needed an extra class to be a full time student and I wanted an "easy" science class. I have taken all the biology courses available to me and my chem II experience was nightmare. So I took Pathology. Pretty awesome right? It should be fun! The only problem is that it meets during Mr.Dude's lunch break. So he has to drop me off at school at 7:45am and then can't pick me up until after work at 4:30. I spend all day at school twice a week for one class. I complain now, but I know it'll be good later on. I won't be so distracted by kitten fluff and snuggles at home I guess. This first week of school though is agony and it's still morning time and I am exhausted.
Now, I am in the computer lab and it took me 20 mintures to log into kinja because the schools system thinks gmail is "unsafe/unsecure". What the eff?! Also, I have to use internet explorer and I hate it. There is this weird box around my paragraphs and when I go to comment on someone's post it looks all funny and takes up the entire screen. *le sigh*
Anyway, on to the real subjects of today's discussion.
I found a cool hair product! I have given up on no-poo and low-poo hair. I was a greasy mess for 8 months. I think it actually damaged my hair. My hair loves it's silicones and sulfates OK?! I will not be tempted! (Although, I am still going to try co-washing for a day or two between shampooing with pantene or paul mitchell.)
My ends were a wreck as the silicone free condioners really did not moisturize my hair enough. It's been getting better with Aussie 3 minute miracle everynight but for the first time in my life, I need day time product. The most I'd ever used before was frizz ease when I'd straighten my hair. I have long, layered and super thick 2b hair. Leave ins are too expensive or just leave my ends kinda weird looking. But then I found THIS!
I know, I know! But Pantene has always been really great for mine and my sisters hair. It really does keep it strong and super shiny. I like it as much as I like Paul Mitchell.
This is Pantene's Silky Moisture Whip! It is a mousse, which until now I didn't like. I know that wavy tressed girls are supposed to use mousses, but they never really worked for me and gave me clumpy ends, even if I used a dime sized amount. This stuff is AMAZING. It's basically a leave in conditioner, but super super light. It feels good going in and dries beautifully. I don't blow dry my hair (as most people do with mousse) at all, so I was pretty happy it air dried so nice. I strongly reccommend, because even though it's a Pantene product (let's face it, almost all of their other products suck big monkey balls) it's one of the few products that has ever worked in my hair. If you have 2a-3a hair, I think this is perfect. It does squirt out a ton, so I use only half of what comes out.
This is a little more serious. I used to have a crazy high sex drive. Like, insane. Goig on birth control didn't bother it in the slightest. Then I got off of birth control pill and got the Mirena. All was good until about May. I still have crazy sexual urges (Mr.Dude is never safe), but I can't like... you know. Once Mr.Dude and I start to get our sexy snuggle on I just lose my mojo! I still want the sexy times but my lower body does not follow through with what it wants. I don't kow what's going on. Has anyone else lost libido or their slip and slide abilities? Mr.Dude has been going to town, but it has been taking actual P-in-V to get me going full force. What's up?!
Also I have rediscovered my love for Revlon photoready foundation. It's the shit. I strongly reccommend Urban Decay's liquid liner in Demolition as well.
Bonus: My old self was talking to my new lab partners and I told them how I took a break from school to go to Washington for a little bit then came back and was flight attendant for 5 years. I got super shocked looks, and was then asked how old I was. I told them (26), and they flipped the eff out. At first I felt like an old, but then I felt like a BAMF because they thought I was 18/19 like them you guys!
