I was creating a safety plan with a client yesterday and the subject of Facebook came up. I know we have all used the term "Facebook stalking" humorously and I have never really thought about Facebook in the terms of domestic violence, stalking and harassing before this. Survivors of abuse are already so often isolated from friends and family, should they be expected to cut themselves off more by deleting Facebook accounts in the name of safety? Well, I am glad to see the National Network to End Domestic Violence has teamed up with Facebook to create a simple guide to safety and privacy on Facebook! Share it with the ones you love, y'all!
