If you're not watching the youtube videos by History For Music Lovers, you really should. Even if you're not into history, you'll love them. Pop songs and history-such an amazing combo.
I usually get them all stuck in my head, and end up singing them in the car (or shower-because I can't sing in public). I'm a nerd and would marry history-I even own a shirt that says "That Cute Girl Who Loves History". Even though my psychic said I would get with a handsome, well off, funny, rugged man. Yes, still sticking by the psychic.
But this one gave me all the feels. And I cried.
It's about the tragic life of Marie Antoinette. Yeah, she comes off as entitled in the history books, and out of touch. But you have to realize that she was separated from her family as a teenager to go to the French court. She was imprisoned during the revolution, and never saw her children while in jail (or barely-I don't feel like looking it up right now). And when her story is sung to the tune of Lady Gaga's Paparazzi-well, just watch it. She wasn't a bad person. And the costume is amazing!
