The Cracked podcast’s latest episode addresses some difficult issues and I’d be curious to hear what others think.
One of the biggest things I’ve struggled with, as a liberal person, is empathizing with the white rural un(der)educated working class. My patience with this particular population, who I believe is squarely responsible for the election results, ran thin a long lonnnnnng time ago. But, listening to this episode, I felt empowered with more robust information and understanding. I still don’t empathize with or like them, but I think it’s quite clear that liberal strategies, such as they are, for dealing with this reality have not worked.
