I've lived in tornado alley my whole (very long) life, but today was the first time I actually saw a real live tornado, just as it was heading for my house.
Thankfully, everyone is fine, I checked in on the neighbors after the immediate threat had passed, and we walked around together checking on everyone else, until the fire department could get here.
My house is okay, my tree has been ripped in half, but other than that there's not even a shingle missing. My neighbors are missing roofs, windows, siding, fences, and, in one case, a Winnebago, which went into someone else's house.
So that's my exciting day. How's yours?
