Academic Conference on Canadian SF&F at the Merril Collection

The Merril Collection of Science Fiction, Speculation and Fantasy will be hosting the 2015 Academic Conference on Canadian Science Fiction and Fantasy. This event is co-sponsored by the English Department of York University and the Friends of the Merril Collection.

Noted writer Hiromi Goto will be giving the Author Keynote Address and Professor Sherryl Vint will give the Scholar Keynote Address.

Papers will be presented on the fiction of Guy Gavriel Kay, Robert Charles Wilson, Nalo Hopkinson, Cory Doctorow, graphic novels, television and other topics.

When: Friday, June 5, 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. and Sat. June 6, 8:30 a.m -6:30 p.m. Registration on Friday is between 5:00 and 6:00 pm. and between 8:30 and 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Where: Lillian H. Smith Branch, 239 College St., Toronto, lower level program rooms.

Admission is $60.00 for adults and $25.00 for students with a student card. Attendees who purchase a discounted membership of $30.00 to the Friends of Merril will only be charged $30.00 for the conference.
