Treat yourself to Laurie Graham's GONE WITH THE WINDSORS. It's the best time I've had in a while from a parody.

There's a new biography of the Curzon sisters out, and I give it 5stars. Read that first, then GWTW. It's vital to have an understanding of the scene around the D&D of Windsor to fully get the genius of satire that Ms. Graham has pulled off here. It's dessert that eats like a meal.

ETA: I don't want to make this sound like it's not a real book, because this is a very solidly researched, beautifully written and crafted piece of work. Such a good book, in fact, that I think I feel guilty for enjoying it so much. Like having dessert for dinner.
