This morning, Albert Einstein was riding my subway train.
I showed this to a couple PhD students and they both gasped, “Do you think he knows???” LOL.
My undergrad advisor emailed this tool out. It’s pretty staggering. You plug in an adjective and see how many students in which fields use it most to describe women or men. Here are the results of the three
words I tried.
Thanks to those of you who shared with me the term “the glass elevator” (although in my mind I keep seeing a glass escalator - which is even ruder because they just watch you as they go up and gloat). I taught part of a class for first year PhD students this week and talked about the concept because it is already an issue for them. :( Also, our marketing team finally started publicizing the media attention to my research today - so that is really good! And finally, I’ve probably mentioned before that I was asked to present at the NIH in June during a one day symposium. I just learned that I am the first speaker. 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
I need to get my ativan refilled stat!!!
What up with you all?
