So, as some of you know, I had found a lump on my dog. After arriving home from work yesterday, I noticed two things:
1) lump was extra lumpy/large and
2) she scratched it until it bled.
That was enough to put me in panic mode and thankfully the vet was able to fit us in today. Once in the vets office and draining of lump, the doctor seems to think that it MIGHT be a wound from one of our cats. He said it is definitely not a tumor, however, he is going to send blood in for testing and will let me know by Thursday.
After draining of lump, it looks smaller and she is scratching it less. So, that is good news! Not definite, but I will take it.
However, now I'm pissed at our cats. Not that the dog is an absolute angel, but our cats are straight-up instigators. Which, brings this story from an acquaintance that I came across while walking my pup and chatting about possible cat wound. This is what he said:
"Yeah, we have a friend who couldn't figure out why his dog was vomiting all the time. Until he walked into the kitchen and found the cat pissing in the dog's water bowl."
