Des Moines man accused of breaking into neighbor's home, offering to mow lawn. That's not code.

Des Moines police say the burglary victim awoke Thursday afternoon and heard his dogs barking. The victim grabbed his gun and went to investigate.

The victim told police he found 28-year-old Nathan James Greene standing in the living room. Greene is accused of offering to then mow the victim's lawn for $5.

Police say the victim ordered Greene out of his house and he complied.

I would have counter-offered him $5 to rake the leaves.
