The Cardinal and I have decided to start meditating in the morning and evening, but we're having a little trouble. First because our cats scratch at the door and yowl if we try to close the bedroom door, and then when we open it they wander in and brush themselves against us, meow and start licking our feet.

Also any tips on meditation that have nothing to do with cats would be welcome. What do you do to clear your mind, should you play music, is it okay to do it right before bed?

I am confused.
