I have a bunch of green tomatoes left over from the plant I demolished, and I want to use them up soon because I don't feel like waiting around for them to ripen. I would do fried green tomatoes, but these are cherry tomatoes, so it's not worth it. I've seen recipes for sweet pies (as opposed to savory) that use green tomatoes as a filling. I have just enough little 'maters to make a pie worth it, but I've never had it before. Is green tomato pie good or an acquired taste? TIA.
