Holy crap, Jezzies! After my big “OMG I AM SO TERRIFIED OF FINDING A NEW PLACE post yesterday, I may actually have found an apartment already.

It’s GORGEOUS—decent-sized, good light, great layout, nice sized kitchen, and only 6 miles away from my job (I’m currently like 19 miles away, which is HUGE difference with SoCal traffic). It also has an unbelievably huge, gorgeous courtyard with a pool, and separate areas with tables, chairs, benches, and shared BBQ grills. And pretty much everyone who walked by when I was viewing the place had a dog, which makes me very happy.

There are a few drawbacks—it’s the maximum I can afford, and I was hoping for a little cheaper, and it’s out in Torrance, which is a bit of a hike from LA proper, but I also work in Torrance, and it’s SO much nicer of a unit/building than I thought I could afford on my budget.

I just put in an application. The landlady liked me a lot, and she said as long as my credit check is okay (and unless I’ve been a recent victim of identify theft, there’s no reason why it shouldn’t be), I should be good to go.

Thank you so much for the kind words and suggestions yesterday, and please keep your fingers crossed for me! The actual packing and moving part is still going to be stressful and overwhelming, but it would be beyond amazing if I could have the new apartment part wrapped up already.
