It seems that there was a cardboard box discovered that had 6 vials of freeze-dried, sealed (hopefully) dead smallpox samples. There was no record of them anywhere and they appear to be from the 1950s research era

This is not the first time - in the early 1990s some more were found on the bottom of a freezer in Eastern Europe.
