Welcome To The Bitchery

So I've been working at Starbucks for about three months now, which means that for I've been on my feet for an average of 28 hours a week for the past 12 weeks. I have a decent pair of work shoes (clarks) but they don't really save me from all that much discomfort during the longest shifts. Now, I'm noticing that my knees pop frequently (like, every time I go up or down a step) my lower back is really right, and my calves feel like twisted steel. I think part of it is dehydration, another part of it is sleeping on a shit mattress, but beyond that, is there anything I can do for the tension/pain outside of taking meds? I'm starting a strength training program this summer which I hope will help, but if any former servers/bartenders/etc have any advice for me it'd really appreciate it. Thanks!
