Wellllllllllll... My second year of teaching commences tomorrow.

I'm edumacating all 6th grade this year, which is good, because I don't think I could mentally handle another prep of 8th grade this year. I'm much less nervous than I was last year.

One of the aspects of teaching I love most (besides hanging out with goofy short people all day) is the ability to reflect and reinvent every day. With that in mind, I'd like you to reflect on your own 6th grade experience and answer this question:

What do you wish your 6th grade teacher had said or encouraged you to do back then? Or, if your 6th grade teacher was awesome, what made them awesome?
