My sister in law is pregnant with her third child. Unlike the first two, this one wasn't planned at all. The first two were boys and they just found out she is pregnant with a girl.
I went immediately to Amazon and purchased a Princess Leia "It's Good to Be Princess" bodysuit onesie, a "Darth and his princess" board book, and a brown knit baby hat that looks like the Princess Leia buns.
I try so hard to be the gender neutral gift giving aunt with all my nieces and nephews. I do not discourage play or activities based on gender and I am careful of the language I use around them.
How do parents do this*?
