I haven't had a chance to even check in on GT for a couple days (hi! busy! bye! I haven't even had a chance to check out NinjaCate's essay yet), but I just had to share this before I go treat myself to a much-needed bath. Via Mary Robinette Kowal's blog (and relevant to the discussion of diversity in Fantasy fiction and how we need more of it), some beautiful portraits of people of color living in Europe, the West Indies, and America around the "Regency" period so popular in current literature (and as Kowal proves, generally more diverse than fiction suggests).
