It's time for me to stop being intimidated by the Brother sewing machine I bought last Black Friday. I have a long weekend ahead of me, and some really hideous pillowcases to practice simple stitches on.
Do you guys have any favorite beginner sewing resources? Instant research gratification necessary: sites, pdfs, ebooks? Videos?
I have the Vogue Sewing Book, which is super neat, but I figured I should ask because more things couldn't hurt. I've never used a machine before. I have done some hand stitching in my day, but that was for simple stuff like hemming, mending, etc.
Please share, and thank you!
PS, Words of encouragement and brotastic fistbumps of solidarity are welcome.
