I've been really trying to save money and eat more healthily with less meat, so I've been having sandwiches everyday (my previous habit was to either go out or have leftovers from the night before, both of which resulted in heavier meals).

I have fallen in love with one combination. Homemade sourdough bread, homemade basil pesto, dill Gouda, roasted red peppers, and garlic hummus. I've had it every day this week, and am not close to sick of it.

What do you do for lunch? I keep thinking I should make salads to take, but its so hard to be satisfied with a salad unless I add chicken breast or some other meat to it. Do most people brown-bag it as well? I do still usually go out with my department on Fridays, but I figure one meal out a week isn't so bad.

Eta: Yes, it's 9:45 am here and I'm already thinking about lunch.
