I've been playing around with the idea of starting a food blog. I post way too many pictures of the food I cook and/or eat on Instagram, and simultaneously want to keep a sort of record of the recipes I amend and delicious places I go eat.
However, I find that food pictures don't look as nice without natural light- I work during the day and cook at night, so my pictures don't turn out as sexy as I'd like. I feel like pictures are 90% of the blogs. Is this a big deterrent? Does anybody have experience doing this and have any pro tips? Or if anybody has any food blogs they follow (besides Smitten Kitchen, she is a serious pro) that I can peep.
I guess I could use Kinja blog as a starter and see how things go. Just snooping around for anybody's advice, I feel like people on GT are wayy more internet savvy than I am.
