I thought I'd finally kicked this thing.

I was waylaid for a migraine that lasted most of last week. During that time, the pain would go from about a 3/10 to full on 8/10 with nausea and photosensitivity.

When it finally died, I did an internal happy dance, as when I get outbreaks like that, they normally don't come back for at least a few months, if not longer. Well, turns out I was wrong. I woke up in the middle of the night to a migraine and a twitching left eye (a sign that means it's going to be a big one).

I had to go to work today, so I maxed out my dosage of migraine meds and had copious amounts of caffeine to make the pain bearable. I'm getting by, but the meds are going to stop working later this afternoon, and I can't take any more until tomorrow.

I'm fucking sick and tired of these things. They come up at the worst times, and I've gone through five different migraine meds over the years because they all eventually stop working. I'll probably have these for life, given that it was caused by a traumatic brain injury (concussion in my case). *sigh*
