Guise. Guise!!! I have had the hardest time finding a pair of riding boots. I'm short, I have really muscular calves, but tiny ankles and knees (if that's a thing.) Essentially, my legs are super shapely, with huge calf muscles. I tried on every pair of boots I could find last year and nothing fit. Wide calf riding boots are too wide, regular are too narrow and most of them are too damn tall. I've been dreading shoe shopping, but boots are a staple of my fall/winter wardrobe.

But today, I had an autumn miracle. The first pair of boots I tried were a perfect fit, and they're exactly what I want: classic look, can be dressed up or down, and no weird laces or zippers or random buckles. They're the Ralph Lauren Mila Wide Calf. Leave it to Ralph Lauren to make a skinny pair of wide calf boots. And they're not insanely expensive - $150, which I think is reasonable for leather boots. So if you're stuck between sizes, check these out!
