Back in January, before the 3rd week of the month, I bought an etsy item for my boyfriend's birthday gift. The item is shipped from Eastern Europe, and the seller said it takes around 2-4 weeks. Since my boyfriend's birthday is February 28, I was thinking that it would get here on time.
Well, I still don't have the item :( and I thought it was SUCH an awesome birthday gift, sigh.
I contacted the seller (who did have really good reviews, by the way), and they said this was abnormal and maybe it got lost in the mail. Of fucking course! He said he "might" refund me the money or ship a new item. I don't know if that got lost in translation, but isn't that his obligation according to etsy policy? I thanked him and said I'd wait another week and if it hadn't arrived, I'd let him know.
Honestly, at this point, I just want a refund. I don't want to wait another 1-2 months or have to worry about it not arriving. Plus, my boyfriend's birthday is already over, so...
I'm kinda worried that I won't get a refund and that he'll just ship me a new one. As a buyer, do I get a say in this?
I mean don't to sound like an asshole buyer. I'm just not in the mood to wait around for another item that might get lost in the mail again.
