Hey guys, it’s been awhile since I posted a thread.I read though! I have questions that I’m sure some of you have experience with. In case my title wasn’t clear- heads up: medical/ pregnancy related stuff ahead.
So I’m due the first week of October (though I should have the baby earlier), and my medical team has decided that a c- section is safest with my disability, especially since the hospital I am having the baby in is an hour away with no traffic, and up to 3 hours during rush hour. I didn’t want to have surgery, but the team is smart and way more knowledgeable than I am, so we are going with it.
How have people recovered from their c- sections? Good experiences/ horror stories- tell me all of it. My husband and I are trying to figure out how much vacation time he should set up for, but I have no idea what recovery is like in the real world. Did you have a birth plan? What did you pack (or wish you had) for the hospital stay? I’ve been told I’ll be there for about 3 days, depending on my seizure activity/ how the baby does. Anything I should know?
As a side note, any ideas on how to talk a husband out of a name he loves, but I’m not feeling? He wants tallulah, which I feel is adorable for a kid, but not so much for an adult (I’m sure some people disagree with me, and I fully understand I’m being arbitrary but how am I supposed to yell at a teenager named tallulah?!). I just don’t click with it. His heart is pretty set on it, and I’ve made it clear I’m not a fan, but... I also kind of have a hard time saying no since he’s been pretty awesome, and caring. And he’s so excited to have a baby girl.
Thanks guys! I’m exhausted, so if I don’t respond right away, I’m sorry, but I’ll get to it.
