A discussion on an article over on The Slot led to what I thought was a really good suggestion for a possible nonprofit/charity organization, and questions on what it would take to really get something started. I wondered if anyone around here might have had some experience in that area that might have suggestions.

The basic premise is that people’s access to abortions is being seriously curtailed, and this would be to help make them more accessible. So you could have an organization where women could be driven to their appointments (even when very far away), maybe link up with babysitting services, maybe have a program for financial assistance to cover the procedure...
Does anything like this already exist?
