Ok, so Gawker posted this ridiculously written article this morning. I'm not exactly sure what the author was trying to achieve other than the clusterfuck that is the comment section currently (unless you want to see some Fox-level hatespew, don't go there). The problem is the article is ridiculous- clearly this was an armed robbery. Can we situate this incident within a broader context of oppression and racism and gentrification? Yes. But the way the article is written, it dismisses the fact that a crime was committed at gunpoint, which is completely unacceptable.

Tl;dr the copy seriously needed some editing before it got published. :/
