I fairly recently learned of the existence of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and am interested in using it to help combat my anxiety and depression. (I should probably go talk to my therapist about it, but I don't find her very helpful and I don't know how to find a better therapist in my network, and it's expensive, and I hate asking for help (except for from Groupthink, apparently).) Anyway, I'm hoping maybe some of you can share your experiences with CBT, and possibly suggest useful DIY resources. Some questions (but please tell me anything important about your experience):
How much work is it?
Did you do it with a therapist?
What aspects of your mental health did it help with?
Do you recommend it?
