For context, that plastic surgery article brought out some statements by prominent Jezzies that may be examples of, what I understand to be, choice feminism.
So much of feminism is about women being able to do whatever they fuck they want without repercussions or judgement.
Feminism is about the ability to make choices without fear of judgement or societal repercussions.
I'm not judging or mansplaining any of this. And I understand that no one is obligated to educate me. I'm purely curious what GTers have to say about it.
ETA: I just want to thank everyone for the thoughtful, nuanced, respectful way everyone is talking about this. Even the disagreements are being handled with respect and sensitivity. That's something we don't see enough of in the Gawkerverse, and it's really cool.
