The GOP has been in what could be described as a slow-motion civil war for 6 or 7 years now. Now it’s moving to the national level. The Republican National Committee turned its guns on “Ted” Cruz a couple of days ago. Their logic is that a Trump ticket would be bad, but a Cruz ticket would be disastrous - they feel that “Ted” would not only cost them any chance at the White House, but control of the US Senate and, perhaps, the US House as well.
Well...fast-forward to now: the National Review, a legendary magazine for what’s considered reasoned thought in Conservative World, will spell out the case against Trump in their new issue. In retaliation, the RNC has removed the National Review from the list of sponsors for the next GOP debate.
