Like most things on the internet, I have no idea if this is for realz, but George Takei posted it on FB so that's good enough for me.

Anyway, apparently some top Coca-Cola executives are set to meet this week to discuss their company's role as a top-tier sponsor for the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, in light of the continued anti-LGBTQ policies of the Russian government. While there is virtually no chance they will pull their sponsorship, which totals around £64m per year, they are reportedly considering whether they should speak out against the brutal persecution of the LGBTQ community in Putin's nation.

There is a petition you can sign here to add your voice to 220,000+ others calling for Coca-Cola to take a stand. Hopefully, if one of the world's most identifiable brands can muster the courage to speak out against injustice, it may encourage some of the 8 other top-tier sponsors (including Visa, McDonalds, and General Electric) to do the same.
