Crowd-sourcing question about fatigue and food

I’ve had chronic fatigue for a while now, which could be due to a number of reasons - stress/depression, chronic pain, etc. But something I keep noticing is that when I eat, no matter what I eat, I will get incredibly sleepy. Like, really sleepy. Exhausted.

Case in point: had some cereal for a late-morning breakfast and immediately became so tired I ended up going back to bed for three hours. I was NOT tired before I ate. This seems to happen every time I eat lately and I’m just, for lack of a better word, tired of it. I’m going to try to push through it because it seems to pass, and I have too much work to go back to bed three times a day. I also know everyone loses a little energy after eating, but...this just seems extreme.

Thoughts? Does anyone else have this, know what it is, or know how to fix it?
