Dead authors who I fear are forgotten

I am starting to think some of my favorite dead authors are quickly if not already been forgotten. Favs like Elizabeth Peters yes her Peabody books may be remembered but her others? Or those by her other name? Earle Stanley Gardner it seems only oldsters and their parents read him. Lawrence Sanders a master at characterizations and his McNally books are hysterical. I rarely watch Dr Who but I recall an episode about Agatha Christie and the doctor said her books will be read eons from now. Sadly I doubt it and she should her Poirot novels like Five Little Pigs is up there with any Conan Doyle novel along with Cat Among The Pigeons or ABC Murders. Except for Children of Men in 15 years will PD James, Dagleish novels be recalled? Who do you fear will be forgotten?
