I'm a fan of Desperate Housewives, the first season was a work of art and the quality decreased with each season, I'll give you that but it was huge in 2004, and 3 out of the main characters were women in their 40s. It was the #1 show in 2004 and it had decent ratings until its end last year. So, my question is, why didn't it make TV executives open their eyes to the fact that a show can be a monster hit with women (and in their 40s too!! ) as protagonists? It's so unfair that women who are good actresses' careers just go down the toilet once they turn 40.
