It’s been awhile since we had one (I keep getting Kinja’d), so c’mon in and let’s talk about food!
I am working strictly with what I have on hand for the next week or so, so there is creativity required! It’s a cold and snowy night here, so I went for hot and spicy.
I’m not sure what to call it, I suppose it’s a sort of fried rice dish, but it was damn tasty. Sweet potatoes, black beans, and onion, cooked with cumin, smoked paprika, cayenne, jalapeno salt, garlic salt, and pepper. Oh, and chili-garlic paste. Really, really spicy chili-garlic paste! Added in a pound of browned hamburger (seasoned with garlic salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce) and 2 cups cooked brown rice to tone down the spice because wow!! I tasted it and the top of my head about blew off!
It. Was. Delicious.
