I made chicken and dumplings tonight! I riffed off of this recipe from The Pioneer Woman:

I omitted the apple cider, added some lemon juice and lemon pepper, and did bone in skin on chicken breasts instead of a whole fryer. I also made the dumplings from Bisquick for sake of ease and added some finely chopped sage and rosemary to the batter. Y’all, it was so delicious. I was very impressed with myself! Photos:


It’s been a quiet day in the Natface residence. I tripped and skinned my legs up pretty bad late last night, so I’ve just been trying to take it easy and stay off my feet (with the exception of the time I was in the kitchen this afternoon). I also have an appointment to get my hair cut and dyed tomorrow, woohoo! Also, I have an appointment with my new therapist on Thursday. She specializes in trauma recovery, and I’m hopeful that I’ll get to tackle some stuff that’s been troubling me for quite some time. Also, I’m really having a lot of success so far on Celexa. I almost wish I’d made the choice to go back on antidepressants much sooner, just for the sense of relief I’m finally getting.
