Our fetus is female! With working heart, stomach, and bladder, two kidneys, and the appropriate number of bones in her fingers. My doctor wasn't there today, but the ultrasound tech said that everything looked good to her, i.e. she didn't see anything that appeared abnormal. Estimated weight is 11 ounces, and it certainly feels like it, with the way she's been trampolining my bladder.

My husband, bless his heart, texted an ultrasound image to to his family members. The tech had inserted "It's a girl!" on the picture...but it's of her nethers! He evidently didn't realize this until I showed him. Lol. I said, "You are NOT posting that on facebook."

I guess I need to tell my dad, though I really don't want to. He is still being a supreme asshole, and I suspect he will act like we did it to further torment him, since he imagines that no one has ever loved or done anything for him, while he has spent his entire life only doing things for others.

And my supervisor at work. I think she probably suspects something, but not sure what it is she thinks she suspects. I've had to miss work for appointments, and though I never specified what kind of appointments they were (because I don't have to, because we don't get sick leave, only personal leave), she's just assumed they were all medical. She always asks how it went, and I usually say "ok" or "fine" without providing her any detail (because I don't have to!). We'll see how this goes...
