So I'm pulling an all-nighter because I have a major set of memos due next Monday. I've known about them for...meh...three weeks. I've done 80% of the reading but just started trying to draft them today after several days at work spent shopping on Gilt, chatting on GT and generally frittering away what could have been productive hours.
THIS IS A BAD HABIT.
I'm a crammer. And a night owl. And it's only a problem because other people don't work on my schedule/think I'm weird. I like the pressure of focusing intensely on a project for a short period of time as opposed to dragging it out in bits and pieces over weeks (oh yeah...I'm also a sprinter by training and mentality). And I hate hate hate being interrupted in the middle of it, which is part of the reason it's so hard for me to get anything done during the days when other people are in the office.
I have been studying like this since I was 10 and it's gotten me through the Ivies and law school. I should stick with it right? Just a warning for all you college students out there with sloppy study habits though...they're really hard to break. I'm not sure I actually have a choice at this point.
