I've read my fill of summer fluff the last few weeks and I need to engage my brain with something a little more substantive for a bit. Have you been reading anything interesting lately? Something engrossing or perhaps gave you a new perspective?
I'm specifically looking for nonfiction, perhaps science or history or biography. I have bookshelves full of true crime, historical crime, anthropolgy and virology, but I'm open to anything that I can walk away from feeling less dumb. I love getting the "real story" or an unexpected perspective or learning about "things you never realized about..." Help!
