So I wanted to make a loaf of slightly sweet wheat bread, and here's Attempt #1!
3 cups whole wheat flour
2 heaping tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon kosher salt
2.25 teaspoons yeast (1 packet's worth)
1.00-1.25 cups very hot water
Mix all the dry ingredients together with a whisk until well incorporated. Pour in the water in the middle, and wiv your paws, slosh the water onto the flour walls around your water lake until a shaggy ball forms. Wet your paws to get rid of all of the dough, then grab the dough in great big pawfuls until you has a solid cohesive mass. Spray a bowl large enough to contain the risings inside with Pam or vegetable oil, plop the dough ball in the bowl, then roll the dough around until it is fully coated in oil. Let rise until the dough no longer resembles a ball and just looks like a bowlful of blerg (2-3 hours). Punch down the dough, an then either form into a boule or put inna bread pan, and let rise for 30 hr or 45 minutes. Bake at 375F for 35-40 minutes. Let cool for 10 minutes before slicings and nommings! Enjoy!
