As some of you might know, I’m a full-time grad student while also working 40 hours a week. It’s challenging, to say the least. But there’s about to be another wrench thrown in the mix.

One of the degree requirements is a 120 hour practicum - basically an internship. I am, uh, slightly curious about how I’m going to juggle classes and an internship while still keeping my job.

I mentioned this to an academic advisor and she said “oh God, don’t do all that.” Okay, so maybe I take a 120 hour long break from classes. But evening/weekend internships aren’t really a thing, right? I would feel kind of stupid applying to these places and saying “please choose me for Intern! By the way, I have absolutely no availability during business hours.”

And let’s be real, I’m not going to stop working so I can do an unpaid internship and pay an assload of tuition at the same time.

Has anyone out there been in this position? If so,
