So after10 hours at work with no break, bathroom time, food/water, I was dragging ass. They still (after 1.5 months!) have yet to set up my email, I'm missing tech that I was promised, and apparently, the 5 (YES 5!!!) administrators in the building didn't feel it blocking off lockers for teachers was important.

They've instituted a universal locker policy (1/2 your kids go for 2 mins, then come back, then switch) and SOMEHOW, you're supposed to keep eyes on both sets...though ours are like down 500ft, around a corner, and through a parcel of 8th graders. And when we were telling young VP (seriously, he's like 26, that's too damn young) he was like "I don't see what's wrong with making them walk."

So, after having to copy down serial numbers for 27 locks, check to make sure they work (they're all 3-4 years old), I then had to tussle it out with the ELL teacher about lockers. Luckily, she was giving a new family a tour so had to smile and let me explain why it was so much better that she got moved (again).

Am brain dead, could only have a slice of pizza before feeling full and now I get to write out all their names for seat index cards, plan my outfit, lesson plan for the 1st day, and set up my binder.

ALL I WANT TO DO IS TEACH KIDS TO COMPREHEND, ANALYZE, AND WRITE!! ALL THESE OTHER THINGS SUCK!
