until school is out! The kids are totally done with it and each day has been a bit of a struggle. Today I cracked my principal up when I answered her "How is it going" question with "No one has died".
This has been a huge year for me. My evaluation was tops, I presented at my state conference, was appointed to 2 more committees and am getting a regular column in the quarterly journal for my state professional organization. Next year I'll be presenting again and will also submit a session for my national conference. And even though summer break starts next week I still have 2-3 video conference meetings each week through the end of June. August is completely filled with two out of town meetings, a conference, a workshop and our district PD days. The Mister is working full time again so I'll have the house to myself during the day. My Donor's Choose project was funded by CAH (!) so I guess I'm a cool kid on the internets. We got a new sofa last month and finally dumped Stinky Couch. Things are finally going my way!
Anyway, that's why I haven't been around much. For those of you going through hard times, believe me when I say change is good and things DO get better.
